Your Word

Psalm 119:105 AMPC

Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

John 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Ever found the thought of reading the Bible dull and boring?

When you realise that reading God's Word is actually listening to Jesus, then it's life changing!

In the Psalm above David speaks of God's Word lighting up his life, shining on his path, steering him away from all the traps ready to ensnare him.

Now, through the New Testament, we have the revelation that Jesus is the Word made flesh.

No longer is it just written down letters, but a living breathing person who loves us more than we can imagine.

When we feel surrounded by darkness and can't see a way out, Jesus, the living Word, is our light. The darkness cannot overcome Him.

Psalm 119:25,28 AMPC

My earthly life cleaves to the dust; revive and stimulate me according to Your Word! [28] My life dissolves and weeps itself away for heaviness; raise me up and strengthen me according to [the promises of] Your Word.

Today I pray that you find strength and help in The Word made flesh.
