Romans 8:31-32 AMPC
What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] [32] He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things?
There's a very interesting account in Chronicles about the Queen of Sheba's visit to see King Solomon.
She brought with her gifts to put before him in order to ask him hard questions (see 2 Chronicles 9).
She went away saying 'the half was not told" and with Solomon giving her more than she had given him to return to her own country!
Think you've given Jesus a lot and feel a bit hard done by?
Peter did and said so to Jesus:
Matthew 19:27
Then Peter said to him, “We left everything to follow you. What will we get out of it?”
The truth is, that we can't out give God.
Luke 12:27-28
“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith!
When we arrive in Heaven and see Jesus face to face in our Eternal Home with new bodies that will never wear out, we too will say, in wondrous delight: "... the half was never told"!
1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9
You can't out give God!
If you've given up something valuable or forfeited some savings or anything else done for Jesus - your reward is coming up above, with interest!
Sometimes, we have to take the L-O-N-G view in our lives. What seems like a loss now, Jesus sees and will more than make up for it.
