2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
The nations of the world are flexing their muscles with new, evermore leathal weapons against civilian targets.
Looking at pictures from Ukraine and Russia it seems overwhelming.
What on earth can we do - we seem to be impotent against such extreme aggression.
Personally, I find it hard to pray in the face of such tragic circumstances.
Yet Jesus tells us that whoever has "mustard seed" faith can work wonders in prayer:
Mark 11:23-24 AMPC
Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. [24] For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].
Has Satan persuaded me into inaction?
It is his greatest weapon, for he knows that believing prayer is the most powerful spiritual weapon.
It's not because we are great, but it's because it moves the Hand of the Almighty.
Jesus taught us that we pray to our Heavenly Father who is all powerful, all knowing and all seeing.
This very morning yours and my prayers will move the Hand of God in desperate situations.
Don't be afraid, use your weapon, pray BIG:
FATHER GOD, YOUR KINGDOM COME, YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.
