Weapons

Isaiah 54:17 AMPC

But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord; this is the vindication which they obtain from Me, says the Lord.

Psalm 37:36-38

Put your hope in the LORD. Travel steadily along his path. He will honour you by giving you the land. You will see the wicked destroyed. I have seen wicked and ruthless people flourishing like a tree in its native soil. But when I looked again, they were gone! Though I searched for them, I could not find them! Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future awaits those who love peace. But the rebellious will be destroyed; they have no future.

There are times in life when we experience sudden, unexpected attacks! Words and accusations, like cruel weapons, rip into our inmost beings. It takes us unawares and temporarily leaves us neutralised.

So often we forget that, as much as God loves us, conversely, with ferocious venom, satan hates us.

He is bent on our destruction, but he is hampered by the protection that Jesus gives us!

Therefore he resorts to malicious lies and accusations and will use any human "special agent", who has opened the door to bitterness and resentment, in order to express that hatred.

The verse in Isaiah above reassures us that whatever lie or accusation is thrown against us, it will be shown up to be false - eventually!

Ok, there may be a while where it looks like the lie has won, but God WILL vindicate in His good time.

Note the promise: EVERY TONGUE, EVERY WEAPON, no exceptions.

It is our heritage, as children of the Living God, to be vindicated.

How comforting is that!

Prayer

Father God, for all our brothers and sisters who have been falsely accused, we put in a claim for vindication as bright as the noonday sun. This we declare as Jesus' ambassadors! Amen.
