Psalm 139:11-17 AMPC
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me and the night shall be [the only] light about me, [12] Even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. [13] For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother's womb. [14] I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well. [15] My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery]. [16] Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them. [17] How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
We saw the ultrasound scans - they were twins being formed in Georgina's womb. Then,, at the time of birth, the little boy died and the little girl survived.
Cristiano Ronaldo mourned the loss of his son, so proudly expected and the footballing world shared his loss. At 7 minutes into the match at Liverpool all the crowd applauded giving due respect to the lost child and rightly so.
Here, in the Psalm above, David speaks about the mother's womb being God's "workshop", where He goes about forming and overseeing the development of each baby.
Yet most aborted babies never get a round of applause or their passing lauded on social media.
Their remains are discarded like rubbish or, worse still, used in medical experiments or ingredients in the cosmetics industry!
Today God's "workshop" is being vandalised more than ever before. Moreover, in California, legislation is being voted on to allow new born babies to be killed up to 30 days after birth, for whatever reason.
We live in days where, when God's law is marginalised, humans die! New human lives slaughtered on the "altar" of inconvenience.
As Christians we must stand up for the defenceless and stop the creeping slaughter of life in and out of the womb
Don't be afraid to stand up for the unborn and now the new born.
Let's be good guardians of God's "workshop"!
