Job 23:9-10 AMPC
On the left hand [and to the north] where He works [I seek Him], but I cannot behold Him; He turns Himself to the right hand [and to the south], but I cannot see Him. [10] But He knows the way that I take [He has concern for it, appreciates, and pays attention to it]. When He has tried me, I shall come forth as refined gold [pure and luminous].
There are times in our lives when circumstances pounce on us and seem to hide the very Presence of the Lord.
It maybe redundancy, bereavement, sickness or a betrayal...something out of the blue hits us when our guard is down.
We may feel overwhelmed and out of control.
Then these words from Job bring comfort to our weary and questioning souls.
We may not see a way out and God seems hidden from view, but the Lord sees us.
There is the promise of an unseen, but just and loving God watching over us, to bring us out of the trial, even stronger in our faith.
Psalm 61:2 AMPC
From the end of the earth will I cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and fainting; lead me to the rock that is higher than I [yes, a rock that is too high for me].
As when clouds mask the sun, it is still there shining - so the Lord is still caring for us, when we can't see past our trials.
Be assured, Jesus is faithful - He will never leave you or forsake you.
