Psalm 66:16-20
Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me.
For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke.
If I had not confessed the sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened.
But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer.
Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.
Every day you can read in the news of a break up of some high profile relationship.
One or other has fallen out of love (or fallen into another one) leaving hearts and lives shattered.
We all tread a little uncertainly along wondering if the main love in our life will fail us.
Carol King's song "Will you still love me tomorrow" says it right...
Insecurity abounds, people change, grow apart, disagree - making life like quick sand ready to swallow us alive!
Here in the Psalm we read of a love that will never fail - God's love for us.
You will never wake to a day when Jesus will no longer love you.
He's committed to you.
So much so that He willingly laid down His life for you.
It's been the one constant in my life through thick and thin - Jesus' love has never failed me.
That love is freely offered to each and every one who dares to trust Him.
Yes, I do say "DARES", for it is a risky thing to trust and love!
But be sure, Jesus will never pull the rug out from beneath your feet. He'll be there to put you back together after your life has been shattered.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.
With Jesus you are invincible and indestructible - no matter how feeble or broken you feel!
Because HE is with you and HIS love will never fail.
