Unexpected

Matthew 24:44 AMPC

You also must be ready therefore, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him.

Most people weren't expecting the Flood in Noah's day. He was just a crackpot boat builder and collector of animals and birds.

How many had mocked him and his grand project after a night out. I expect they even made rude songs about him too as the wine flowed.

The fun stopped when the rain came down and there was no rescue from the rising waters!

In despair they watched in as the ark floated away safely and they were left to drown.

Matthew 24:36-39 AMPC

But of that [exact] day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. [37] As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. [38] For just as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, [men] marrying and [women] being given in marriage, until the [very] day when Noah went into the ark, [39] And they did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away-so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Be warned, Jesus IS coming back. Don't let Him catch you unawares.

Be ready, because His arrival will be unexpected for most.
