Almighty love

Hosea 11:8 AMPC

How can I give you up, O Ephraim! How can I surrender you and cast you off, O Israel! How can I make you as Admah or how can I treat you as Zeboiim [both destroyed with Sodom]! My heart recoils within Me; My compassions are kindled together.

This chapter is an insight into the Lord's special and intense love for Israel even though many have forsaken Him.

The "end of days" culminates in the salvation of Israel too.

We are witnessing the crystallisation of ancient biblical prophecies before our very eyes whereby the nations will turn against Israel and try to divide up the Land.

God is very clear that it's not a recommended plan to try!

Joel 3:1-2 NLT

"At the time of those events," says the LORD, "when I restore the prosperity of Judah and Jerusalem, [2] I will gather the armies of the world into the valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will judge them for harming My people, My special possession, for scattering My people among the nations, and for dividing up My land.

Israel is by no means a perfect nation, but the Lord has purposed to fulfill His ancient covenant with them and Jesus will return to a Jewish Jerusalem to set up His Kingdom and reign - see Zechariah 14!

We are exhorted to keep Israel in our prayers:

Psalm 122:6-9 NLT

Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper. [7] O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls and prosperity in your palaces. [8] For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, "May you have peace." [9] For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek what is best for you, O Jerusalem.

Looking on the current conflict we should indeed pray, pray, pray!
