Question: how proud of Jesus are you?
It's so easy to be a closet Christian, hiding faith in Jesus away in your heart - a bit concerned about offending someone with a different belief.
There is a balance for a believer to strike.
One of the tributes to Sir David Amess, a devout believer in Jesus, was by a Gay MP, who said:
"I could never convince him to vote for gay "marriage", but he never failed to ask after my "husband" !"
There was someone who wasn't ashamed of his faith in Jesus, and God's laws for life, but reached out in love to those with whom he disagreed.
We can each learn a huge lesson from that.
We shouldn't be "shrinking violets"!
Star Trek fans will remember the original intro "to boldly go" and that should be our motto too.
Boldly go out into the day, proud of the good news of Jesus and let Him put a smile on our face and love in our heart.
There is great power in the Gospel of Jesus - power to save, power to heal, power to overcome in all situations.
Let's take any shame we may have felt about sharing our faith and confine it to our spiritual dustbin!
People need Hope, people need Jesus.
Be a Hope filled joy bringer!
