Romans 12:1-2 NLT
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. [2] Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
There's so much hype around "trans" these days: transgender (changing sex), trans-phobic (those who disagree or dislike those who change sex), trans-human (the fusion of humans and technology) to create a super human race.
This all flies in the face of our Creator who made us in His image - who wrote His code into our DNA.
He, however, calls us into His own "trans-plans"!
We, who have been called out of darkness into light by Jesus, are instructed to surrender to God and so be "transformed" by the renewing of our minds.
All our thinking must be renewed from our fallen state and changed into how Jesus views things.
24/7 the media bombards us with concepts and opinions that are secular and even demonic in origin, trying to mold us into a godless worldview.
This must be resisted on a moment by moment basis, refusing to be spoon-fed by the world, but bringing each thought captive to Jesus.
I have been convicted in my own heart of entertaining thoughts that are contrary to to the Kingdom of God.
Realising this, I see in the Word that I am to be a living sacrifice - daily laying down false thought patterns and surrendering to the Holy Spirit.
God wants us to discover His perfect will for our lives. He's not hiding, He's waiting for surrender.
Oh how wonderful it will to be fully free of my fallen nature which wars against the new creation that I am.
God's awesome plan is to transform us into the image of His Son.
Romans 8:29-30 NLT
For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. [30] And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory.
Wow! I'm on the way to become like Jesus.
As often as I fail and fall, He picks me up and calls me ever onwards to that goal.
Father God, how can I ever thank You enough for Your great patience with me. Keep me on the pathway, chipping away at my life, until I reflect the glory of Jesus on that great day.
