The weapons of OUR warfare

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4

Come and see what the Lord has done,

the desolations he has brought on the earth.

He makes wars cease

to the ends of the earth.

He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;

he burns the shields with fire.

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.”

The Lord Almighty is with us;

the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Psalm 46:8-11

We've seen terrifying demonstration of devastation unleashed by conventional weaponry and there are threats to "up the ante" with more powerful missiles to wreak untold havoc on Ukraine.

It's like a David and Goliath battle - one side being far stronger and more powerful.

This morning a desperate request for prayer from Ukraine hit my inbox, crying out for our support.

Because God is Almighty, the weapon of prayer is as powerful as He is. Therefore the most radical action we can take is to humble ourselves and call on the Lord to stand up for those who are under such savage attack.

Whether you are young or old, whether your faith is strong or wavering, just muster up all you can and cry out to the Lord to intervene and overpower those who seem invincible.

Let's watch to see what the Lord will do as we call on His name in this situation.

Let's hide ourselves in Him and be strong on behalf of others who are in such danger and full of fear.
