Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

So Jesus said again, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that I Myself am the Door for the sheep.
Jesus, in His earthly ministry, was extremely assertive that He and He alone is the ONLY way to know God. He didn't say "A" way, one of many, but an exclusive, distinct absolute Way to the Father.
Just to make it even more transparent He states that anyone who tries to climb up some other way is a thief and a robber (John 10:1).
Why a thief? Because this will steal away your salvation.
All other ways are man's striving to please God by works, only Jesus is God coming to rescue man.
It's very popular today to have a merging of the faith communities. Indeed we see this during memorial services after some great tragedies. Prince Charles has stated that he wants to be known as "Defender of faiths" and not as the Queen is currently known as "Defender of THE Faith". So we are seeing the subtle erosion, blurring and watering down of the gospel.
But Jesus' proclamation (and He declares that He is The Truth) is that only in Him is there life:
"I am THE Way, THE Truth, THE Life"!
These words are offensive to non believers and those of various other faiths.
Yet a true follower of Jesus must live by and assert that only in Him is THE Way to eternal life.
Other faiths may be sincerely held, but they are a dead end, a cul-de-sac and a road to nowhere.
Matthew 7:13 AMPC
Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and spacious and broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are those who are entering through it.
In a very real way Christians must be "narrow-minded"! That is often used as a derogatory term, but Jesus used it as an instruction to follow His Way to the exclusion of all others.
Don't get misled into being too "nice" to stand up and be counted for The Truth.
Use the Holy Spirit's "GPS" and follow only Jesus and through Him find the Truth and Life eternal through THE Way of the Cross.
