Malachi 3:6 AMPC
For I am the Lord, I do not change; that is why you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Matthew 5:17-18 AMPC
Do not think that I have come to do away with or undo the Law or the Prophets; I have come not to do away with or undo but to complete and fulfill them. [18] For truly I tell you, until the sky and earth pass away and perish, not one smallest letter nor one little hook [identifying certain Hebrew letters] will pass from the Law until all things [it foreshadows] are accomplished.
John 19:30 AMPC
When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, It is finished! And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
The shifting sands of 21st century morality makes it hard to discern right from wrong.
From where are we drawing our values?
Does God really have set boundaries, or does His Law change or evolve over time?
Does He move His goalposts?
There are some very worrying trends within Christian denominations which are devaluing the authenticity of the Bible and it's revelation of God in Christ Jesus.
To claim that every kind of lifestyle is pleasing to God flies in the face of scripture.
However, if we insist in ignoring and defying God's natural and written Law, then He will eventually give us up:
Romans 1:24 AMPC
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their [own] hearts to sexual impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves [abandoning them to the degrading power of sin]
God forbid that we have come to this juncture as a church, nation and as a world!
God's Word stands supreme, immovable and immutable.
However, clearly, none of us are able to keep His Law.
We all sin.
So Jesus came and completed and fulfilled the Law on our behalf.
When He said: "It is finished" He meant that He had accomplished what He had come to do.
As we accept His Sin offering for our sin, we exchange our sinful nature for His perfect one.
God hasn't changed one iota, but we can, with His help.
Through the power of His Holy Spirit we are being transformed into line with His image.
Amazing!
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:2
Cling to God's Word, it will outlast everything:
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Luke 21:23
