Spiritual lies, spiritual battle
Ephesians 6:10-13
A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armour so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armour so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil.
Much talk about lies has dominated the news this week. Who did what and when.
There is a huge battle going on for the minds of people. It's so easy to start pointing the finger at humans and miss out what is going on in the heavenly places.
Scripture reveals that the fight is being waged in the spiritual realm. That's why circumstances are so baffling and frustrating and are designed to wear us down and quieten us into defeated submission.
He will defy the Most High God and wear down the saints with persecution, and he will try to change all laws, morals, and customs. God’s people will be helpless in his hands for three and a half years.
Daniel 7:25
The issue we face is simply black and white, be "blood washed" or "brain washed"!
There is an armour that the Lord has provided for us to put on in order to keep us safe in the struggle we face.
The helmet of salvation will protect our minds from the lies of Satan. Never go out into the day without strapping it on.
Without it - we're as foolish as a motor bike rider without a helmet on busy motorways.
Here in the UK, we have made it compulsory to wear such helmets when riding a motor bike.
Our Heavenly Father isn't so totalitarian - He gives us advice to put on His head protection.
Without it we expose ourselves to spiritual lies & deception which are rife as we near the end of the age.
Let's keep our thoughts protected by Jesus' shed blood as we go into today. Examine all the news through the microscope of scripture.
Father God, thank You for the gift of Jesus and His shed blood. Please cover my mind and keep me safe from Satan's lies.
