The Power of God's Word

Isaiah 55:8-11 AMPC

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. [9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. [10] For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, [11] So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Do I realise the awesome power of The Bible?

It is an singular privilege to be able to read it, inwardly digest it on a daily basis. Some believers are in danger of their lives for having a Bible in foreign countries.

It is a life transforming, revelatory book.

It explains the past and reveals the future.

What God says WILL happen.

We read in the passage above that God's Word will achieve God's purposes.

Yesterday we were chatting about the inevitability of humans beings being "chipped". Instead of a phone there will be an implant in the hand (or forehead) and, only using that, will people be allowed to buy and sell.

You can read about this in Revelation 13.

My nearest and dearest said: "It won't happen in our lifetime".

Later on I was amazed to see that, in Sweden, they are already trialing an implant (the size of a grain of rice) in the hand. This implant acts as keys to your home, a vaccine passport, travel tickets, credit card etc, etc!

Well, God knew and foretold it to John on the Isle of Patmos, so we would be warned of end times.

It would be something to avoid for believers in Jesus.

God's Word is rock solid, what He says goes!

The instance above is just one of many prophecies that have been or will be fulfilled.

The Old Testament is jammed packed with "pictures" and "pointers" to Jesus. Each and every one has been or will be completed.

As you read God's Word "handle with care" - it is inately powerful.

Remember Jesus, in John's gospel is called The Word. Jesus is the embodiment of The Bible - only with His help via The Holy Spirit can we rightly understand it!
