The mystery of being drawn

John 6:44 NLT

For no one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws them to Me, and at the last day I will raise them up.

Here, in the still of the morning, I ponder the mystery of being drawn.

For it is a fact that probably the people who I love and rely on the most are, as yet, outside the Family of Jesus Christ.

In my hardest times I've been supported by friends outside of belief, but with hearts of loving kindness.

In contrast, those belonging to "churchianity" have dealt the most painful spiritual blows - that still makes me wince today.

Two folk spring to mind, clients of mine, who sat me down in my darkest of times, and just wanted to hear my sadness.

They really listened and spoke wise words, but above all they cared.

How is it that they are so full of love and yet don't believe?

Father God, I cry out to You for these wonderful people you've sewn in my life. I'm so helpless to convince them, only You can draw them to You.

I name them before You, I ask, I beg You to draw them to You and into the outstretched Arms of the Lord Jesus.

Yes, I've been drawn, it's so amazing, so incredible... never let me go Lord Jesus.
