Galatians 4:4-7
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
God has His Timetable and He knows exactly the right time (fullness of time) for everything.
That is such a comfort to take to heart daily and prevents many "if onlys" regrets in our lives.
God is Sovereign - He knows when and where, who and what to bring together at the proper moment.
He takes chaotic, even tragic events and weaves them into the fabric of time, bringing about His purposes.
He took a Roman edict - a census, and used it to fulfill the prophecy that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem and not Nazareth, where Mary and Joseph lived!.
People often ask why was Jesus born at that time? Why not earlier, why not later?
The Bible here tells us, that He was born at just the right time.

My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my foes and those who pursue me and persecute me.
Go out into today, confident in God's timing... because He is a Loving Heavenly Father.
