2 Samuel 12:23 NKJV
But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me."
Death is such a coldstore, freezing out the joy and friendship once shared.
Our beloved dog died a day or so ago. It was late at night and his lifeless body lay on the kitchen floor until we could take him to the crematorium.
That warm furry body that had once warmed my cold hands became as cold as ice.
Yes, death is the final curtain call in this life.
There's a saying "while there's life there's hope". How true.
There's only One who looked death full in the face and overcame it.
When Jesus emerged from the cold tomb on the third day, He proved that Death is swallowed up in Victory.
His Resurrected Body no longer confined to the restrictions of mortality - He could appear and reappear at will. He could eat and cook a good breakfast on the Galilee beach.
That is the immortal body that awaits all who believe in Jesus.
John 11:25-26 NKJV
Jesus said to her, "I Am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. [26] And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"
It's a good question that, by the Holy Spirit, Jesus asks each one of us.
Well, do you?
