The elephant in the room!

Jeremiah 9:23-24 Living Bible

The Lord says: Let not the wise man bask in his wisdom, nor the mighty man in his might, nor the rich man in his riches. Let them boast in this alone: That they truly know me, and understand that I am the Lord of justice and of righteousness whose love is steadfast; and that I love to be this way.

Any reading of the Old Testament prophets will warn of the danger of worshipping idols.

Mixing the worship of the One True God with other faiths is a breaking of the commandments:

Exodus 20:3-5

You may worship no other god than me.

“You shall not make yourselves any idols: no images of animals, birds, or fish. You must never bow or worship it in any way; for I, the Lord your God, am very possessive. I will not share your affection with any other god!

So, here is "the elephant in the room":

"UK PM Rishi Sunak, has an idol of Lord Ganesha on his desk and worships the cow"

Britain, whose Union flag proudly displays the Cross of Jesus as its emblem, now is led by an idol worshipper!

Who knows what dark spiritual forces have been unleashed on the land since Queen Elizabeth passed?

The new monarch has a chapel where people of any faith can worship.

We are now on spiritual sinking sand.

Many blame the war in Ukraine, the hangover from lockdowns for the decline, but the Lord, who has blessed our country mightily in the past, looks on things differently.

With the death of our Queen, we have lost that spiritual covering of God's protection through her devoted prayers.

Now we have a monarch who favours mixing "faiths" in one pot.

Even a cursory look at scripture shows that the Lord will not tolerate idols.

The idol worshipped by Sunak is"the elephant-headed Hindu god of beginnings, who is traditionally worshipped before any major enterprise and is the patron of intellectuals, bankers, scribes, and authors."

As followers of Jesus we should be deeply aggrieved that Jesus is no longer venerated as Lord by our leaders and in our Parliament.

We have tolerated foreign gods, who are no gods at all, to our demise.

Lord have mercy on us, nothing but judgement is on the way, unless we turn back to Jesus.
