The buds that didn't open

Ecclesiastes 3:1 NKJV

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

The bouquet of flowers flourished except for one cut portion of buds which remained tightly shut in the same vase where all the others thrived.

Why? The water, sunlight and heat was exactly equal to the other vibrant flowers...

One answer I googled said that probably the buds were too tight when they were cut, meaning they weren't sufficiently developed to enable them to bloom independently from the main plant.

There's a time and a season for things.... that can't be hurried.. so...

I want people to come to know Jesus so nuch that I'm apt to force the issue, "cut too soon" at the first sign of interest. What a shame if I cause the bud of faith never to open in my enthusiasm.

The Holy Spirit must nurture and coax and do the work in people's lives - releasing the Son-shine and Living Water at just the right time.

May I be watching and patiently living for Jesus and not trying to make a preemptive strike!

Why didn't Jesus call Paul to be His disciple during His earthly ministry? The time wasn't right!

There's a perfect time in each one's life...
