Take it to heart

Psalm 119:11 AMPC

Your word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

There's so much emphasis on head knowledge in our world - qualifications are a must if you want to enter some professions.

With the Kingdom of God, things are different. God is looking for trusting hearts - just like young children cling and trust to their parents.

Matthew 18:2-3 AMPC

And He called a little child to Himself and put him in the midst of them, [3] And said, Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all].

Some musicans rely on reading sheet music - they are hamstrung when it comes to playing by heart.

Others have lovingly practiced, spending hours with their chosen instrument, not because they have to, but because they want to.

Then they can play from the heart, because the music has become a part of them.

I watched a YouTube of a young man playing a piano concerto. He had no sheet music, but he played the whole concerto by heart. It was mesmerising.

Jesus wants us to "play" life like that - because we've spent time in His Presence, cherishing His Word and storing it away in our hearts.

By the Holy Spirit, we will then be able to "hit the right note" on the keyboard of our lives....

It takes time, dedication, putting Him first.

God wants to write His "concerto" on our hearts, so that we won't fall into traps laid by Satan.

Take time to store away today.
