1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 NKJV
For this we say to you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. [16] For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. [17] Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. [18] Therefore comfort one another with these words.
The Appearing of Jesus in the clouds will be a sudden, inexplicable event for the world.
Imagine all of Jesus' followers disappearing in an instant - the Shout will literally "wake the dead"!
How will the news report it? Will social media be rife with video clips of people disappearing? How many accidents will occur as those driving cars, trucks and buses or flying airplanes are whisked away in a lightning flash of time?
One thing is certain it will herald a time of unbridled chaos (as if we didn't have enough going on now).
Not only that, the Holy Spirit, who is restraining evil right now, will step aside to see how humans get on independently from their Creator.
2 Thessalonians 2:7-10 NKJV
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. [8] And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. [9] The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, [10] and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
No one would want to live in a world where evil has full control, but that will be the sad reality.
The seven year tribulation will be tragic, catastrophic and beyond comprehension in its devastation.
Please don't be left behind.
Even a cursory reading of Revelation unveils cataclysmic details beyond our comprehension.
Get right with Jesus while there's still time:
Acts 16:30-31 NKJV
And he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" [31] So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
