Stranger than fiction!

1 Corinthians 15:51-52

But I am telling you this strange and wonderful secret: we shall not all die, but we shall all be given new bodies!  It will all happen in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For there will be a trumpet blast from the sky, and all the Christians who have died will suddenly become alive, with new bodies that will never, never die; and then we who are still alive shall suddenly have new bodies too.

He looked at me incredulously - he wanted to be respectful, but, I could tell he thought what I was saying was, at best, a fantasy.

When reading the passage above, it does sound like something from a science fiction movie, doesn't it?

There's going to be a "beam me up Scotty" event that will mystify the planet.

First a global trumpet sound. Then a sudden disappearing of believers in Jesus.

How quick will it be? Who can measure the "twinkling of an eye" - faster than blinking - super-fast - warp speed - to use another Star Trek phrase.

As I explained to my incredulous listener, "I could be sitting right in front of you and then suddenly disappear".

This Christ rejecting world is bound for the great tribulation as explained in Revelation.

We're seeing the "birth pangs" of it right now, just as Jesus describes it (Matthew 24, Luke 21, Mark 13).

Yesterday, a dear friend of mine asked me what the Bible saiys about how the world will end.

The question came out of the blue. Obviously world events are shaking folk out of their indifference.

People are looking for answers in the midst of worldwide turmoil.

We, however, are not to be afraid, but to be certain that we have given ourselves to Jesus.

It is truly a frightening time, but history is in God's Hands, not in the hands of the wicked.

Jesus will step in to prevent total annihilation:

Mark 13:19-20 AMPC

For at that time there will be such affliction (oppression and tribulation) as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created until this particular time-and positively never will be [again]. [20] And unless the Lord had shortened the days, no human being would be saved (rescued); but for the sake of the elect, His chosen ones (those whom He picked out for Himself), He has shortened the days.

Spread the Word, there's rescue and safety only in Jesus.

For more details on end times read Revelation - yes, all of the book.
