Still we're not saved!

Jeremiah 8:20-22 NKJV

"The harvest is past, The summer is ended, And we are not saved!" [21] For the hurt of the daughter of my people I am hurt. I am mourning; Astonishment has taken hold of me. [22] Is there no balm in Gilead, Is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery For the health of the daughter of my people?

These verses were written over 2500 years ago and yet they could relate to today.

After all the fighting and bloodshed there still remains daughters of Israel held captive in Gaza.

They are still subject to abuse day after day.

Who knows what lies ahead for them should they survive. Their memories subject to the most terrible nightmarish flashbacks and their bodies shells of torture.

"Is there no balm in Gilead?" Says the prophet. It is the cry from their loved ones who are astonished at their plight.

This morning I stir up compassion to pray once more with fervour for their release.

Lord, have mercy on them, bring deliverance, bring release, bring armloads of salvation.

Psalm 56:8 NLT

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.

Lord, please be near to those broken hearted girls who are so desperate for help.
