For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
1 Corinthians 13:12
There's a lot of condensation on the picture window this morning.... meaning that the view is marred. I can see only the outline of the trees, but not any details.
I know it's all there, but I don't see it clearly. Later, when the sun shines and evaporates the condensation, I will see everything distinctly.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 AMPC
Take notice! I tell you a mystery (a secret truth, an event decreed by the hidden purpose or counsel of God). We shall not all fall asleep [in death], but we shall all be changed (transformed) [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the [sound of the] last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [in Christ] will be raised imperishable (free and immune from decay), and we shall be changed (transformed).
Last night I dreamed of "the Rapture" - the gathering up of Jesus' followers.
I felt myself being pulled up and had to let go of earthly ties. Then I was flying at excess speed into the sky, ever upwards, surrounded by countless others, whooping for joy, as the Lord Jesus appeared to welcome us!
Of course, I don't know if it will be exactly like that, it's a mystery as the Word says.
But I see a dim outline of what's going to happen, when the Son appears, we will see it all so clearly.
What a day that will be.
1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT - “No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love Him.”
For now though, we need to be alert and ready to go at a moment's notice - much like when waiting for the gate to be called for a flight - with eyes glued on the notice board!
Let's make sure others are ready too.
Spread the Word...
