Specific for Zion

Isaiah 61:3 NKJV

To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."

There are ashes, yes! There is mourning aplenty. Indeed, there is a heavy spirit in the Land.

Inexplicable terrorism has brought this war about, but the Lord has not forgotten His Eternal Promises to His people.

We Christians appropriate these words as "grafted in" branches, but that can never negate the ones to whom it was first promised.

My nearest and dearest spoke to a friend in Israel yesterday. He is usually upbeat even in dire situations, but he has lost his optimism. He said: "We are finished!"

He has trusted in the strength of the IDF and of his own physical prowess, but now that lantern is burning low. What hope has an atheist to lean on?

We believers should galvanise and reinforce our prayers for God's protection and salvation for Israel.

He is determined to win back His people.

Read this chapter written by Paul, the apostle:

Romans 11:1 NLT

I ask, then, has God rejected his own people, the nation of Israel? Of course not! I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham and a member of the tribe of Benjamin.

The Lord has irrevocable plans for Israel.
