Proverbs 14:12 NLT
There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.
Doesn't it SEEM right to be inclusive, with diversity and equality our watch words? "Love is love" SEEMS a good thing to embazon on a t-shirt, doesn't it?
The world's motto is "Don't tell me that my lifestyle or actions are wrong, it's right for me, mind your own business!"
Yet what would you do if you saw some blind person about to walk off a cliff? Would you keep silent and let them fall to their death? Of course not!
The loving thing to do is to warn them that they're going in the wrong direction, to shout out "stop", "you're in great danger!"
So, the Lord, out of His great love, wants us to be His mouthpiece to warn people about the realities of life:
Ezekiel 2:6-8 NLT
"Son of man, do not fear them or their words. Don't be afraid even though their threats surround you like nettles and briers and stinging scorpions. Do not be dismayed by their dark scowls, even though they are rebels. [7] You must give them my messages whether they listen or not. But they won't listen, for they are completely rebellious! [8] Son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not join them in their rebellion. Open your mouth, and eat what I give you."
In these dark times we must hold fast to God's Ways and God's Word. Even if it offends and startles people, we must speak truth in love.
Ephesians 4:14-15 NLT
Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won't be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. [15] Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the Head of His Body, the church.
The Lord has set boundaries for life to keep us, happy, healthy and prosperous.
Straying from those paths may SEEM right but results in death - death of the spirit, soul and body.
In all things let Jesus lead according to His Word:
Psalm 23:3 NLT
He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honour to his name.
