Satisfied and renewed!

Psalm 103:5 AMPC

Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle's [strong, overcoming, soaring]!

The Rolling Stones wrote in their rock song: "I can't get no satisfaction" and that is the human state without God - constantly searching for meaning and the next "high"!

But in our relationship with Jesus we find true contentment and the reason we exist.

Many billions of people, who have crashed upon the rocks of adversity in their lives, have reached out to Jesus and found the answer to the eternal questions "why am I here?" "what is my purpose?"

At every stage of our life, Jesus is there to satisfy us.

Starting out on a new career or school, the Lord is there to satisfy you.

Looking down the barrel of a divorce or bereavement, He will repair and renew you in that situation too.

Feel like you're no longer useful, too old or worn out - our faithful God will meet you there and give you new inspiration and a purpose.

Eagles are constantly being renewed - they drop their juvenile plumage little by little to gain their adult feathers and, even then, molt their feathers and regrow new ones.

This enables them to maintain their ability to fly to great heights and soar upon the thermal currents.

Their beaks and talons wear down, but perpetually, like our finger nails, they regrow.

We too, by God's miraculous grace, can have that same renewal and satisfaction at each stage of life.

Isaiah 40:28-31 AMPC

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding. [29] He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. [30] Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted; [31] But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.

Whatever your situation find satisfaction in the only One who can renew you on a daily basis.
