Privilege

Acts 1:3-4 AMPC

To them also He showed Himself alive after His passion (His suffering in the garden and on the cross) by [a series of] many convincing demonstrations [unquestionable evidences and infallible proofs], appearing to them during forty days and talking [to them] about the things of the kingdom of God. [4] And while being in their company and eating with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for what the Father had promised, Of which [He said] you have heard Me speak.

John 20:29 AMPC

Jesus said to him, Because you have seen Me, Thomas, do you now believe (trust, have faith)? Blessed and happy and to be envied are those who have never seen Me and yet have believed and adhered to and trusted and relied on Me.

Do you, like me, sometimes wish you had been there with the disciples when they met with the Risen Lord Jesus? Don't you wish you'd had the chance to see His scars and eat with Him?

Perhaps we tend to think that our faith would be stronger then?

Yet Jesus says the most privileged are those that have not seen such things and yet believe!

So today I call myself blessed and privileged in His sight because by some glorious miracle I have faith to know that my Redeemer lives.

Sceptics say it's a fantasy, some sort of self deception, a ridiculous idea.

But knowing the daily Presence of Jesus in life is the greatest blessing and privilege of all

HE is my treasure, my Anchor, my Hope. I know I am safe forever in Him.

Psalm 25:14 AMPC

The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.

Jesus all praise worship and adoration be Yours. You have blessed me with the wonder of Your forgiveness and Your priceless friendship. Thank You from the depths of my heart.
