Proverbs 16:18 AMPC
Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
Watch the media and you will be aware that June is "Pride" month for the LBGTQ+ community parades (who knows what the "+" is for!).
The rainbow symbol is highjacked and used as their banner to flaunt lifestyles and practices that were previously hidden away in shame.
The Bible speaks of such times as these:
They are proud of what they should be ashamed of, and they think only of things that belong to this world.
Philippians 3:19
Yesterday, in one of the national papers, there was a picture of a trans "man" proudly showing off "his" pregnancy complete with full beard.
Obviously, without the input of artificial hormones prescribed by "doctors", this transition would be impossible.
This is yet another face of the "pride" of scientists thumbing in the face of God's natural order.
Here is a quote from the writings of Billy Graham:
"Some years ago, my wife, Ruth, was reading the draft of a book I was writing. When she finished a section describing the terrible downward spiral of our nation’s moral standards and the idolatry of worshiping false gods such as technology and sex, she startled me by exclaiming, “If God doesn’t punish America, He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.”
If we're not careful, we too will be swept away from God's design for our lives and be sucked into the vortex of "anything goes".
Staying close to Jesus will keep us balanced and able to speak the truth in a loving way.

Let me warn you therefore, beloved, that knowing these things beforehand, you should be on your guard, lest you be carried away by the error of lawless and wicked [persons and] fall from your own [present] firm condition [your own steadfastness of mind].
Pride is indeed a precursor of destruction.
Setting the record straight - this is the true meaning of the rainbow:
“Behold, I establish my covenant with you and your offspring after you, and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth with you, as many as came out of the ark; it is for every beast of the earth. I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth… This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth” (Genesis 9:8-16, ESV).
