Presence

Psalm 16:11 AMPC You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

There are some folk who are so good to be around. Their joy is infectious and they lift your spirits. We can each think of dear ones, who we've lost - what we wouldn't give for just one more moment in their presence.

Right now, my nearest and dearest and me are apart. Although we talk to each other throughout the day and evening on Skype, it's not like being in his presence. Here in this Psalm David writes, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, about how, in God's Presence, there is FULLNESS of joy. We've all had moments of bliss with our loved ones. Precious times of just savouring being with them, breathing the same air and sharing their lives. As believers we've even had a sip from the cup of joy of feeling Jesus' presence at specific times in our lives. Yet stop and imagine how it will be dwelling constantly with the Joy-giver for all eternity. Jesus' purpose in coming was to restore the fellowship that had been lost in the Garden of Eden.

John 10:10 AMPC The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). Be encouraged, as you spend time with the Lord of all life, you will find a deep, deep joy unattached to your circumstances.
