Pray for the Peace of JRS

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem

“May they prosper who love you.

Peace be within your walls,

Prosperity within your palaces.”

For the sake of my brethren and companions,

I will now say, “Peace be within you.”

Because of the house of the Lord our God

I will seek your good.

Psalm 122:6 onwards

As Christians, believers in Jesus, Yeshua, the Messiah who came FIRST to the Jews, we ARE involved in the prayer for the peace of Jerusalem and the nation of Israel.

Jesus Himself wept over Jerusalem, even as the people prepared to reject Him.

Matthew 23:37

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me.

How much more is it our solemn responsibility to pray for the peace and protection of the people of the Promised Land.

Let's look beyond how the world wants to portray the situation and skew it towards one side or another. Let's look at matters from God's heart, who so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that anyone who believes can be saved.

I'm sure that the Lord has compassion on each and every one who is caught up in the conflict. Those who are wracked with fear as the bombs fly.

Jesus is the Prince of Peace and we must release His Love through prayer. He is the answer to these conflicts.

He is the One who causes wars to cease.

Psalm 46:9-11

He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire.

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah
