Plans

You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail.

Proverbs 19:21

Lots of our plans are in tatters in the current, ever changing restrictions on our freedoms.

It can feel suffocating and frustrating.

Book a holiday or a flight and suddenly that country turns from green to amber.

Plan to go to work, but get pinged into inaction & isolation!

No one is exempt, not even the "PM".

Life feels like shifting sand, a nebulous cloud of confusion.

What's the answer?

Know that God is in charge.

His plans stand firm forever.

This current global crisis is no surprise to the Lord. In fact He took pains to inform the prophets and confirm the situation through Jesus' words about end times and in great detail in Revelation.

Where is our refuge at times like these? In the NHS? In a vaccine? In a mask or social distancing? All of these may prove to be ineffective.

Truly there is only one place of safety - run to Jesus.

Psalm 16:8-11 AMPC

I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my inner self] rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety,

For You will not abandon me to Sheol (the place of the dead), neither will You suffer Your holy one [Holy One] to see corruption. You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Trust the Lord to show you the path of life in each and every moment.

If you've never trusted Jesus with your life, now is a good time to start! Invite Him into your heart right now. There's no time like the present!
