John 16:33
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
This morning if you woke up facing some deep sadness or never ending trial you may feel far from being an overcomer!
Yet you are! Not because you're some superhero of faith, but because Jesus lives in you and HE is the One who has gone before you and single-handedly won your battle.
Humanly speaking you may be "brow beaten", "under the cosh", burnt out, ready to throw in the towel, but Jesus says "take heart" - take His heart - why? Because He has finished every trial, every sickness, every sorrow - conquered on the Cross....
Isaiah 53:4-5 AMPC
Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. [5] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
If you're feeling broken by what this world is throwing at you, hold onto Jesus and His finished work.
Above all HE is holding on to you.
One day you will join the multitude that no one number in Revelation 7:9-10
After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”

Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.
Indeed, feel it or not, YOU ARE AN OVERCOMER
