Daniel 7:13-14 NKJV
"I was watching in the night visions, And behold, One like the Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him. [14] Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed.
There are some incredibly fearful times ahead for this Earth.
It will look as though evil has triumphed as governments become evermore oppressive and tyrannical in spite of so-called democracy.
Even a cursory read of the book of Revelation will conjure up dread of being alive at the time when the Lord unleashes His Wrath and Judgement on a Christ-rejecting world.
Yet, amidst the catastrophic drama of those times, there comes the Son of Man to interrupt the destruction.
Indeed, Jesus, at His trial, quoted from the book of Daniel, as above:
Mark 14:60-62 NKJV
And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, saying, "Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You?" [61] But He kept silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, "Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" [62] Jesus said, "I Am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven."
This is what incensed the Sanhedrin and triggered His death. They judged His claiming this prophecy as the ultimate blasphemy!
Fellow believers, as bad as it is going get, we have Jesus' assurance that He will return, majestically, with Sovereign Power to halt the destruction and bring in His Kingdom of Peace and Righteousness.
Matthew 24:22 NKJV
And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.
History is winding up, just as the Bible foretells. That's why it's so urgent to be on the right side of His Story!
