John 18:36-37 NKJV
Jesus answered, "My Kingdom is not of this world. If My Kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My Kingdom is not from here." [37] Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the Truth. Everyone who is of the Truth hears My Voice."
Aren't you glad that Jesus' Kingdom is not like this world's kingdoms where the rights of the poor and needy are downtrodden while the rich get richer!
This world is in the thrall of the spiritual forces of wickedness in high places - ultimately Satan and the fallen angels who are the demons.
Deception and destruction are the tools of their trade and lies are their currency with fear their vicious weaponry.
Satan knows he is destined for damnation and would like nothing more than to take as many as possible with him to that eternal lake of fire.
Revelation 12:12 NKJV
Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time."
As the end of time approaches we see the ramping up of violence and evil all around as was prophecised in Scripture.
Satan's particular hatred is focused on God's chosen people - how else can antisemitism be properly explained?
Whatever demonic plans are made they are bound for total failure for the Sovereign plans of the Lord can never be thwarted. He knows the end from the beginning.
Look not at the advance of evil but know it to be the outworking of prophecy where Jesus will return to set up His Kingdom of righteousness and peace.
Isaiah 2:4 NKJV
He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.
Hallelujah for that day - Your Kingdom come Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
