Matthew 28:6 AMPC
He is not here; He has risen, as He said [He would do]. Come, see the place where He lay.
Yesterday I went to a funeral of a lovely lady, who had followed Jesus devotedly.
When the hearse arrived carrying her "earthly-now-empty-shell", the above verse came to me.
An inner voice said: "She's not there, she is risen ...."
I knew that she was safe with Jesus, smiling down on those who had come to say their goodbyes.
It hit me afresh of the Hope we have in Jesus.
No other faith provides this assurance of Heaven.
Later I told my nearest and dearest: "I don't know why folk aren't running to Jesus in droves.
Where else can you find that promise of eternal life?"
Only Jesus has conquered Death. Only Jesus could say with confidence:
Luke 23:43 AMPC
And He answered him, Truly I tell you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.
That lovely lady's body is now burned up, only the ashes of her are left here on earth.
Yet, she is more alive now than she has ever been! Totally free of every restriction this short life has.
Oh! What comfort to die in the Presence of Jesus. To walk through that doorway to eternity with Him.
His arms are wide open to receive you into God's family. Come to the Cross, receive that forgiveness and mercy now!
Believe and receive!
Romans 10:9-13 NLT
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. [11] As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who trusts in Him will never be disgraced." [12] Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on Him. [13] For "Everyone who calls on the Name of the LORD will be saved."
It's glorious!!
