And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.

I continue, undaunted, from yesterday, to emphasise how vital it is to focus only on Jesus for our faith and salvation.

Throughout the Old Testament God is constantly proclaiming through His prophets that He is God and there is no other:

Isaiah 45:22 AMPC

Look to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.

Daniel 3:29 AMPC

Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, and language that speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be cut in pieces and their houses be made a dunghill, for there is no other God who can deliver in this way!

Indeed, one of the commandments states:

Exodus 20:3 AMPC

You shall have no other gods before or besides Me.

The New Testament clarifies the name of this "no other" God - Jesus (the Anglicised version) or rightly Yeshua in Hebrew.

The Baha'i faith, for example, advocates merging different beliefs and, there is rumoured that, there are plans to form a one world religion. Google "chrislam" for instance.

So these are days when we must hold fast to Jesus, because there is no other name by which we can be saved!

God is no masochist, He wouldn't have chosen to die such a cruel death on the cross if there were other ways to reunite us to Himself.

So I'm banging the drum and blowing the trumpet loud and clear through these devotions that there is no alternative God or philosophy to Jesus that will save you.

Believe me, in the coming days, we are going to be tested in this "cancel culture" society.

Anything that is likely to cause offence to others will be labelled hate speech, unless it fits the ideals of the "woke" generation.

Jesus caused offence to religious leaders of His day and His undiluted message will cause offence today!

Don't let your focus on Jesus get blurred by fear or compromise. Hold onto the cross of Jesus - there is no other way to be saved - but speak out that truth in love.
