Acts 4:8-12 NKJV
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: [9] If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, [10] let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. [11] This is the 'stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.' [12] Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
We went for a meal with friends on Friday night.
We each looked at the menus and picked what appealed to our taste buds.
Everyone chose something different.
For meals that's a good thing. For economies that's healthy..
But for salvation that's a recipe for disaster...
Yet that is what we're offered today in this once proudly Christian country.
Be tolerant, accept that other beliefs have equal validity before God!
Look again at what Peter preached after the man was healed at the Gate Beautiful in Jerusalem:
Acts 4:12 NLT
There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved."
Pick the bones out of that verse.
Where is there any room for other faiths?
But the Gospel has been watered down to such an extent that it has become one of many choices on the spiritual menu!
Shame on us, shame on our weak, insipid church leaders who have let this happen and have departed from the Truth that only Jesus can save and bring us to eternal life.
Let people call us bigoted, outdated and irrelevant - but dear ones - let us "cling to the Old Rugged Cross" - only Jesus has the power to save.
Only He is the real deal!
