Isaiah 14:12-17 NKJV
"How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! [13] For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; [14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.' [15] Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit. [16] "Those who see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying: 'Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, [17] Who made the world as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, Who did not open the house of his prisoners?'
At present we see evil in the ascendency - the satanic power grab goes on seemingly unchecked.
Open the news and there is a catalogue of violence, corruption, destruction and perversion of truth.
We may ask: "Is there no end to the depravity of humankind?"
Well, my friends, take courage, the lucifarian dark plans are destined for complete and utter failure.
The Lord has set a date for his eternal demise.
The devil and his demonic minions (Lucifer and his army of fallen angels) have a fate worse than death awaiting them.
At present they are hard at work overturning ancient boundaries of right and wrong: muddying the waters between male and female; aiming vicious hatred on God's chosen people; denying their right to the Land; inflaming conflicts; perverting justice; glorifying the killing of the unborn as human rights.
But, there is an unstoppable "but"!
The Lord has a date in His Diary, already written down in Prophecy for Satan's final downfall. We read it in the passage above.
If you've ever watched the movie "Downfall" which portrays the last days of Hitler in the Berlin bunker, you will see what a pathetic figure he had become. The one who terrorised Europe had become demented and diseased, driven to suicide.
Lucifer (Satan, the Devil) is destined for far worse. People will gaze on him with amazement: "Is this the one who terrified us?"
Jesus has already conquered Death to set those who believe gloriously free with eternal life.
His Return to Earth will confine evil to the history books.
