Luke 21:9-11,25-28 AMPC
And when you hear of wars and insurrections (disturbances, disorder, and confusion), do not become alarmed and panic-stricken and terrified; for all this must take place first, but the end will not [come] immediately. [10] Then He told them, Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. [11] There will be mighty and violent earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences (plagues: malignant and contagious or infectious epidemic diseases which are deadly and devastating); and there will be sights of terror and great signs from heaven. [25] And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth [there will be] distress (trouble and anguish) of nations in bewilderment and perplexity [without resources, left wanting, embarrassed, in doubt, not knowing which way to turn] at the roaring ( the echo) of the tossing of the sea, [26] Men swooning away or expiring with fear and dread and apprehension and expectation of the things that are coming on the world; for the [very] powers of the heavens will be shaken and caused to totter. [27] And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with great (transcendent and overwhelming) power and [all His kingly] glory (majesty and splendour). [28] Now when these things begin to occur, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption (deliverance) is drawing near.
No, that's not an excerpt from the news .... that's Jesus laying out the scene to bring down the curtain on this world.
No matter what "green new deal" is brought in, no matter what "great reset" is done, the earth is in its final death throes. It's irreversible!
Those of you who've been camping will be familiar with guy ropes - you know - the things you trip over in the dark when going for a midnight toilet break!! These keep the tent grounded even in high winds or storms.
The guy ropes that keep us tied to this world and it's systems are being loosened by hard circumstances, which Jesus predicted would be the hallmark of the end. Life's not so comfortable anymore, is it!
We shouldn't fight this loosening, because we're being prepared to pack up our temporal campsite and be translated to our Eternal Home.
Look at this life like a camping trip. It's not our permanent residence. So we need to start to let God "loosen our guy ropes", for the signs are, that our redemption is drawing near, and, we need to be ready.
We need to start to look up, as Jesus states, much like the experienced farmer senses the changing of the weather, and acts accordingly.
Matthew 16:2-3
But He replied to them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and has a threatening look.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but cannot interpret the signs of the times?
How many boxes are ticked on the list Jesus made of the end times signs? I would suggest you look at global incidents and draw conclusion!
Believers shouldn't be fearful of happenings, but full of hope and expectation, because these events prove that Jesus' words are true.
Loosen those worldly guy ropes and start looking up! We're going up!
1 Thessalonians 4:17 AMPC
Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord!
