Psalm 31:7 NLT

I will be glad and rejoice in Your unfailing love, for You have seen my troubles, and You care about the anguish of my soul.

When life serves up sorrow, anguish and hard times it's hard to be grateful.

The easiest response is to slide into the mire of self pity and bewail our plight over and over.

However, the healthy reaction is to pour out our heart in prayer - telling our loving Heavenly Father all about it.

Then live gratefully because we know that He has seen and heard our cry and cares about what we're going through.

As we walk though that valley of the shadow of death we need to be aware that He has prepared a bountiful table for us up ahead...

Psalm 31:19 NLT

How great is the goodness You have stored up for those who fear You. You lavish it on those who come to You for protection, blessing them before the watching world.

Yes, the world watching us to see if there's any point in being a Christian - does it distinguish us from any other faith?

It should do!

Father God please help me ever to live gratefully before You, trusting in Your unfailing lovingkindness which You have shown to me in Jesus.
