2 Corinthians 3:3 AMPC

You show and make obvious that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, not written with ink but with [the] Spirit of [the] living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you. Christ himself wrote it—not with ink, but with God’s living Spirit; not chiseled into stone, but carved into human lives—and we publish it.

My dear mum used to say to me:

"You are the only Bible that unbelievers will ever read!"

It was usually after I'd behaved badly in some way, shape or form (quite often then)!

Yet she was right - our lives speak much louder than our words as witnesses for Jesus.

During this time of mourning for our Queen, endless people, who knew her, bear witness to her life lived in service of the country and her Lord Jesus.

You only have to watch the huge outpouring of grief world-wide in order to see that her "handwriting" and "spelling" was easy to read!

As we surrender ourselves to God, the Holy Spirit is writing the message of Jesus in our lives.

Nowadays we could say that we are "living emails" or "WhatsApp messages" if you like!

How can I live today in order to show that Jesus is alive?

....by some kindness, some service, or, even just a smile in someone's direction.

People are reading my "living emails!"

May I, by God's grace, write good things, deleting any mistakes through Jesus' shed blood on the Cross!
