Lavished with love

1 John 3:1‘

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!’

On this Valentine's day, even if you have no romantic input, receive no card, flowers, chocolates or red roses - know that, in Jesus, you are lavished with love!

Say this deep into your soul: " I matter to the Father, I am loved by the Son, I am filled by the Holy Spirit. I am surrounded and swamped by God's immeasurable, unconditional love.

Satan will try to lure you into self pity and gloom: "Nobody cares for me" thoughts will arise, but they are lies.

The cross I wear around my neck tells me just how much God loves me - enough to lay down His life for me.

The lyrics of this song rings so true:

He left the splendor of heaven

Knowing His destiny

Was the lonely hill of Golgotha

There to lay down His life for me

And if that isn't love

Then the ocean is dry

There's no stars in the sky

And the little sparrows can't fly

Yeah if that isn't love

In Jesus each one of us today, right now, is lavished with love
