Luke 23:42-43 NKJV
Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." [43] And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."
Maybe you think it's too late to give your life to Jesus... or, you reckon that He doesn't have time for someone like you..
I love this about the Passion of Jesus. Amidst all of His immense pain and suffering He still had time for one penitent criminal hanging there next to Him.
There wasn't time for Bible study or explanation of the theology. The guy just asked: "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom"!
Something in the way Jesus was dying on the Cross drew that guy and made him recognise who Jesus was.
That simple cry, "Jesus remember me" was enough to bring salvation to the dying criminal.
Let's not complicate the gospel, but bring the people we know to see Jesus dying for each one of us on the Cross - that's what saves - keep it simple.
It's the power of salvation.
1 Corinthians 1:18 NKJV
For the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
