Just a donkey!

Luke 19:30-34 AMPC

Telling them, Go into the village yonder; there, as you go in, you will find a donkey's colt tied, on which no man has ever yet sat. Loose it and bring it here. If anybody asks you, Why are you untying it? you shall say this: Because the Lord has need of it. So those who were sent went away and found it just as He had told them. And as they were loosening the colt, its owners said to them, Why are you untying the colt? And they said, The Lord has need of it.

Ever said to yourself: "What use can I ever be to Jesus? I'm not talented, I've never been anywhere or done anything, I'm hampered by my background and upbringing? There you are seemingly tied up, in hock to a mortgage or credit card debt!

"What good can I do for Jesus?"

Remember the young donkey here in the verses above, tied up, going nowhere, never been ridden.

This humble donkey was about to be used to fulfill prophecy.

Zechariah 9:9 AMPC

Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O Daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you; He is uncompromisingly just and having salvation [triumphant and victorious], patient, meek, lowly, and riding on a donkey, upon a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Don't be down, at any moment you too can be untied - regardless of how you feel, "the Lord has need of you!"

Imagine the privilege that donkey had, his first task to carry the Saviour of the World into Jerusalem!

You too can carry Jesus into your "Jerusalem" - where you live and work.

We're each called to carry the message of Jesus wherever we are.

People are ripe, looking for Hope and a Light in the midst of the darkness.

Carrying Jesus is the greatest privilege anyone can have and it's open to anyone - even a donkey!

Jesus is waiting to untie you from whatever is holding you back - because He has need of you!
