6 So we can say with confidence,

“The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”

7 Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13

When famous leaders in the Christian faith fail, it may cause us to fall away. We feel rightly let down - particularly if that leader has brought us to faith by their preaching or teachings.

If that has happened - then it should be asked "who are we following?"

The passage above points us to follow the examples of our leaders.

But what if their example isn't that good - what then?

Answer: remember Who is the Unchanging One - the Lord Jesus. He will NEVER fail us or let us down.

He is the supreme example. Follow Him and we'll never be disappointed.

The world jumps on any scandal in the church and revels in the wrongs of Christians.

We know that great accuser drives this critical agenda.

Let's pray for those who have been snared by the success of their ministries. They too need Jesus' grace and mercy.

Perhaps we need to pray more for those who have high exposure via the media.

Satan has them in his sights, because bringing them down causes far more collateral damage to the gospel than the failures of little ol' "you and me"!

Selah.
