Isaiah 7:7 AMPC
Thus says the Lord God: It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
In this passage Isaiah brings a message of hope to those who were quaking in fear at the threats of the enemy.
The tiny Kingdom of Judah was under attack from outside (Syria) and inside (Israel) who all wanted a piece of Jerusalem - to divide and destroy it.
See verse 1 "to wage war against it, but they could not conquer it".
However they (Judah) were afraid that at any moment they would be overwhelmed & destroyed:
Isaiah 7:2 AMPC
And the house of David [Judah] was told, Syria is allied with Ephraim [Israel]. And the heart [of Ahaz] and the hearts of his people trembled and shook, as the trees of the forest tremble and shake with the wind.
God is a witness to all these plans of destruction and He says (via Isaiah) a reverberating "NO! It's not going to happen".
For us, in these days of cancel culture, we, as believers, may come under attack and loud threats may be made against us to put us under siege and take away our freedoms - edicts maybe issued in order to silence the message of Jesus.
But, brothers and sisters, governments and woke movements will not be able to conquer God's people. Truth is buoyant and Truth is personified by Jesus Himself.
The lies and threats of satanic messengers cannot triumph. The Lord Himself is a Mighty Warrior.
Isaiah 42:13 AMPC
The Lord will go forth like a mighty man, He will rouse up His zealous indignation and vengeance like a warrior; He will cry, yes, He will shout aloud, He will do mightily against His enemies.
Isaiah 42:17 AMPC
They shall be turned back, they shall be utterly put to shame, who trust in graven images, who say to molten images, You are our gods.
Be encouraged, God IS on the march. No one can stand against Him.
Christians who are coming under attack from without by tyrannical governmental decrees and anarchical movements and from within by false witnesses - please realise that these hostilities are not hidden from The Almighty.
His anger and indignation is stirred and He is coming to destroy their plans and demolish their power.
Isaiah 59:19
So [as the result of the Messiah’s intervention] they shall [reverently] fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight [for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives].
