Psalm 83:1-4 AMPC
Keep not silence, O God; hold not Your peace or be still, O God. [2] For, behold, Your enemies are in tumult, and those who hate You have raised their heads. [3] They lay crafty schemes against Your people and consult together against Your hidden and precious ones. [4] They have said, Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be in remembrance no more.
Some Islamic "prophet" has declared that, on 8th July 2022, Israel will be no more.
That has caused a clamour and a boldness amongst Israel's enemies and an increase in anti-Semitic attacks globally.
But I can state here and now, that any attempt to annihilate Israel will fail.
Iran can build their nuclear weapons and even fly them on course for Israel... but God will intervene.
The Prophecy of Ezekiel 38 is yet to be fulfilled, but it is, even now, materialising.
The countries named therein may not be familiar to us, but, do your research, and you'll discover Russia, Turkey, Syria and Iran among those mentioned.
Israel is gas rich and has just signed an agreement with Europe to supply them with gas.
How do you think Russia feels about that in the midst of rumbling war, when that is their primary source of income?
It puts them on a collision course!
This Psalm is an ancient prayer for Israel which we can use to pray today.
On a personal level, when I am being aggressively attacked, I can count myself amongst God's "precious ones" - He will look after me too.
Through Jesus, I am grafted into Israel's promises.
Romans 11:24
After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!
The Lord will not let Israel perish and neither will anything separate me from His Everlasting Love!
Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
